In the following article, I would like to dedicate myself to the topic of the Human Design Diet and the 12 Diet Types in Human Design. Sometimes you hear the Human Design Diet also under the term PHS, which means “primary health system”, or under the term Determination. Whether you’re new to your Human Design Experiment or an old hand, sooner or later you’re going to come across the topic of Human Design Diet. And for me, both in my personal experiment and holistic analyst, it is one of the most fascinating topics in the Human Design System. Because when we engage in the journey with our individual Human Design Diet, it has extremely many benefits for our

1. Physical well-being,

2. for refining our Human Design mechanics,

3. strengthening our Strategy and Authority,

4. our brain functions better,

5. we feel more relaxed,

6. more comfortable in our bodies,

7. we strengthen our immune system,

8. our defined centers are strengthened and

9. our open centers are better deconditioned, so we live less from our shadow and imprinting

10. and it is really our vitality and youth fountain.

Not bad right? 😉

So, as you can see, the Human Design Diet has a significant impact on many areas of our lives and on our vitality. Of course, what we must not forget, and if you know me a little, you have heard this often enough, is that the most important thing in our Human Design Experiment is to follow our Strategy and Authority. Our individual genetic Strategy and Authority in our design are the foundation in our genetics, our Human Design, and our lives. The rest of the information is the icing on the cake. The Strategy and Authority help us to realize our potential, detoxify negative conditioning from our system, and supports us to stop living against our nature and sabotaging ourselves.

Consequently, this means for us that Strategy & Authority is also essential in our experiment with the individual Human Design Diet. This is because the Duman Design Diet does not tell you what to eat, but describes how you have been genetically calibrated to eat in order to be optimally nourished. So the Human Design Diet doesn’t say eat tofu or eat chicken, eat a salad, or eat a potato, it describes how you are genetically wired to be able to assimilate nutrients optimally and therefore be ideally nourished at the cellular level. This is the cornerstone of our vitality and longevity. Because as we know, our vehicle, that is, our body is no longer 7-centric and burns out almost completely around the age of 50, as it was before 1781. We have a 9-centric body, so we have 9 centers in our body since 1781 and no longer 7 chakras. The 9-centric body – we also call this body the Uranian body from the Human Design perspective – is much more durable and can live at least 84 years, so we can easily live 100 years. Only for our body to be able to do that, it needs the individual Human Design Diet. Because our Ferrari simply needs the right fuel to be able to function optimally and not become more and more frail with advancing age.

As I have already said, it is important that you experiment with your Strategy and Authority because your Strategy and Authority help you in your individual Human Design Diet experiment so that you no longer choose your food according to dietary dogmas, your socialization and conditioning, your addictive eating behavior (we also have an article on this), and your imprinting from childhood, but according to your individual Strategy and Authority and in the context of your individual Human Design Diet.

The mind must not decide what is the right partner for us, or the right job, and also not what is the correct diet for us. Because our mind does not know what the correct nutrition is for us. Our mind does not know what nutrients we need at this moment, in what quantity, in what composition, and what our body actually needs so that we not only physically function optimally but so that our mind is also balanced. This responsibility is up to Strategy and Authority. Thus, it is essential in your individual experiment with your Human Design Diet that you continue to follow your Strategy and Authority and respect your individual Human Design Diet.

Of course, this is an overview. The Human Design Diet and the 12 Diet Types in Human Design is a complex subject and when I give an analysis of the Human Design Diet in each chart, I look at the Human Design Diet in the context of cognition, the passive or active brain and the approximate ratio of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats.

For example, my design is very fat-heavy, and when I discovered that, I felt really satisfied for the first time in my life. Because I thought through my conditioning and dietary dogma that I should eat low-fat and avoid fat in general. So I finally felt satiated for the first time after 30 years in my body, when I understood the combination of nutrition, cognition, ratio, and in my case, a passive brain. And that was a true epiphany, both for my body and for my mind.

So I am forever grateful to Human Design for not only allowing me to optimize my brain, my energy levels, my health, as well as finally allowing me to stop poking in the dark in search of the correct nutrition for me. There are, in total, 12 dietary regiments in the Human Design System:

  1. Appetite – Consecutive
  2. Appetite – Alternating
  3. Taste – Open
  4. Taste – Closed
  5. Thirst – Hot
  6. Thirst – Cold
  7. Touch – Calm
  8. Touch – Nervous
  9. Tone – High
  10. Sound – Low
  11. Light – Direct
  12. Light – Indirect

By the way, if it says PASSIVE, then you have a passive brain, so you are a fasting type. If it says ACTIVE, then you have an active brain and are a person who needs regular meals and should not fast!
